Note: This procedure is required in North America only.
To specify the SPID and TID of the TE:
On the Modify Port menu, enter the Modify SPID/TID menu item number.
Type the digit string
and press ENTER.
A SPID is an ASCII string which uses the characters 0 to 9. The string
has a minimum length of 9 digits and a maximum length of 20 digits.
A TID is the two least significant digits of the SPID value. The TID
can have a value in the range 00 to 62 inclusive.
Note : The BRI SPID must match the SPID programmed in the TE. Typically, two SPIDs must be programmed on the terminating equipment because the BRI card requires 1 SPID for each BRI circuit or port. The SPID is a unique number used between the TE and the BRI card. Typically it consists of the 10 digit telephone number relating to the first local address with "00" appended for the TID. For terminating equipment that does not support single SPIDs, program the second SPID with a unique TID (for example, SPID 1 = 613592212200 and SPID 2 = 613592212201).
