Signaling is provided by the Universal NSU which provides two digital links. Each link provides 30 traffic channels.
From the LTE assembly, cables provided by the installation company connect the system to the line terminating equipment for the digital exchange line. The LTE assembly also provides an earthing point for the transmit cable screen connectors.
