When a call is forwarded to voice mail, the Suite Pilot number of the Primary Member Suite is delivered to the voice mail system. When shared telephone service is enabled, message waiting indications occur on all Suite Extensions programmed with message waiting in each Member Suite of the Linked Suite. When shared telephone service is not enabled, message waiting indications occur only on Suite Extensions in the Primary Member Suite. Calls presented to the voice mail system from any Suite Extension in a Linked Suite deliver the Suite Pilot number of the Primary Member Suite.
Linked Suite messaging may be augmented by voice mail distribution groups. A voice mail distribution group can be configured for each Linked Suite Pilot number. The distribution groups in the voice mail system must be updated as suites are added to or removed from the Linked Suite to take advantage of this capability.
