The following decisions were made during network planning:
Number 101 was assigned to one PBX, 102 was assigned to the other PBX. The PBXs are located in different area codes (416 and 613).
PBX 101 has an ISDN card located in cabinet 9, shelf 1, slot 2. PBX 102 has an ISDN card located in cabinet 6, shelf 1, slot 2.
Clear channel 64 Kb ISDN service is to be used for data call-set-up.
Both PBXs use a 4-digit numbering plan, extensions on PBX 101 begin with "1", followed by 3 digits. Extensions on PBX 102 begin with "2", followed by 3 digits.
The expected rate of traffic was estimated and the following DID numbers were purchased:
6135552001 - Data call from system 101 to system 102.
6135552001 - B-channel call from system 101 to system 102.
4165551001 - Data call from system 102 to system 101.
4165551002 - B-channel call from system 102 to system 101.
In this example the XNET Networking options are purchased and enabled on the system.
