A network Uniform Numbering Plan allows you to use the same digits to reach a station from any location in the network. A network Uniform Numbering Plan has the following characteristics:
the identity of each station within the network is unique
the unique identity of a station is equivalent to the digits dialed from all nodes in the network to reach the station.
The use of a Uniform Numbering Plan is recommended (especially for MSDN/DPNSS digital networks).
You can use ARS digit modification provided that it does not destroy the uniformity of the numbering plan.
Program the network so that each station has a unique identity.
If required, assign Node identifiers to each node on the network in the ARS Node Identities form.
