The Network Zones form is used to create zones for compression and bandwidth management. These zones can then be applied to different devices in the Station Attributes form.
Use this form when performing the following tasks:
This form must be shared with all ICPs in the network that perform bandwidth management. If this form is not shared, Bandwidth Management may not function properly if the user enters conflicting configuration information into the network elements.

Zone ID |
A system-generated ID between 1-250 used in system forms to identify each unique zone. A protected field. |

Intra-zone Compression |
Select "Yes" to apply compression to calls originating and terminating in the same zone. The default value is "No".

Intra-zone FAX Profile |
Enter the Profile ID of the Intra-zone FAX profile that you want to apply to this zone. The Intra-zone FAX profile determines the communication settings that the system applies to FAX calls that occur between the zones. You define the Intra-zone FAX profiles in the Fax Service Profiles form. All zones default to Profile 1 which applies settings for G.711 pass through. Profile 2 defines the settings for Fax Relay (T.38) You cannot modify Profile 1. |
