Interconnect Restriction

Purpose:

The Interconnect Restriction form is used to specify the device categories (represented by interconnect numbers) which can and cannot be interconnected by the system during call processing. Since the number of devices that may be interconnected is greater than the number of devices that may not be, this form is used to disable interconnections.

To restrict interconnections between devices, locate the first device's interconnect number, using Search. Click Change and move down the list of interconnects to restrict the interconnect number for which a connection is not allowed. The interconnection numbers were assigned to various devices in their respective assignment forms. The interconnect numbers are, in many respects, similar to Class of Restriction numbers in that they are labels assigned to specific devices through which their access to other devices is restricted during call processing.

To Interconnect Number

A preprinted list of interconnection numbers from which numbers are to be restricted. Toggle from Not Restricted to Restricted for each interconnect number for which a connection is not allowed.
