Busies the designated cabinet, trunks, or extension.
If call processing is in progress (indicated by the expression "has an owner") the system provides three options for proceeding:
FORCE overrides call processing and forces the circuit into the manbusy state. The FORCE option should only be used if necessary since any call processes in progress at the time will be lost.
COURTESY DOWN invokes the Courtesy Down option (meaning the system will wait for the call processes to be terminated before setting the circuit to the manbusy state).
QUIT skips to the next circuit.
The ALL qualifier specifies all traffic circuits and virtual circuits.
The EXTENSION qualifier permits a circuit to be busied using the extension number instead of the location ID. The system response is the same whether a Location ID or extension number is used. If the extension is a Hot Desk user's DN, the command will result in one of the following messages: "Hot Desk: <user's DN> Currently Not Logged in" or "Hot Desk: Login active at <registration DN>". If the Hot Desk user is logged in, the command cannot be issued using the registration DN.
The BUSY RESET <number> qualifier applies to Hot Desk DNs or a registration DN that allows Hot Desking. If issued against a Hot Desk DN that is logged in, the Hot Desk user will be logged out and the Registration DN will attempt to reregister. If issued against a Registration DN that allows Hot Desking, the Registration DN will attempt to reregister. If issued against the DN of a locked out external hot desk user, the user will be allowed to try logging in again.
This command has no effect when it is applied to a <unit> <shelf> <slot> <circuit> <channel> associated with a Hot Desk user's DN.
The TRUNK GROUP qualifiers permit trunk circuits in a specified trunk group to be busied.
The XNET qualifier is used to request the status of XNET trunks. It does not support the Quit and Courtesy Down options. You should issue the BUSY XNET command from both sides of the XNET connection.
On the SUPERCONSOLE 1000, this command is found under the DIAGNOSTICS group of commands.
