L2 STAT SWITCH (AX, CXi, CXi II, MXe and MXe Server only)

Purpose:

Provides general Layer 2 (L2) switch information. For more detailed information, use the L2 Stat Port command.

Details:

Field Name

Description

L2 Switch uptime

The time (in hundredths of a second) since the controller was last re-initialized.

Number of Ports

The number of L2 ports in the controller.

L2 Switch MAC Address

The MAC address of the Layer 2 switch in the controller.

Ethernet Chip Information

Ethernet Chip Count

The number of BCM Ethernet chips in the controller.

BIST Status

The status of the Ethernet chip Built-in Self-Test (BIST). The status is a bit-based value:

0x00 - No failure

0x01 - Buffer control RAM (only in BCM5380M)

0x02 - Internal packet data buffer memory

0x04 - MIB RAM (only in BCM5380M)

0x08 - Gigabit MIB RAM (only in BCM5380M)
