<language> SETS DEFAULT FROM *.LANGSEL
<language> SETS AUX1 FROM *.LANGSEL
<language> SETS AUX2 FROM *.LANGSEL
Notes:
After you issue the Language Select command, you must reset the system.
You must set DEFAULT, AUX1, and AUX2 to different languages. If you set any of these language components (DEFAULT, AUX1, or AUX2) to the same language, then the set displays may exhibit unpredictable behavior. For example, prompts may be missing from the Superkey menu.
Changes the current language of the sets on the system to a specified language. The change is applied after a system reset.
Notes:
Database Restore operations will preserve the set language active on individual sets at the time of a Database Backup. Preservation applies only to databases originating from and restored to Release 9.0 or later systems.
This command is not applicable to Symbol wireless phones as they only support English.
If the *.LANGSEL catalog is not found when the LANGUAGE ADD or LANGUAGE SELECT command is entered, the following error message will be displayed: Catalog does not exist or is not mounted.
If the *.LANGSEL catalog does not contain the specified <language>, the following error message will be displayed: The command text as entered is incomplete, ambiguous or incorrect.
While the LANGUAGE SELECT command is executing (which may take from five to ninety-five minutes), no other command will be recognized.
When the LANGUAGE SELECT command is entered with a SETS qualifier, calls in progress on these sets will be lost.
Note: When using the LANGUAGE ADD command, changes are applied the next time the system is reset.
