UPGRADE
Used by MLPP administrators to open the administrator access port (WAN port) on the 3300 ICP. After enabling the port, you can start a System Administrator Tool session and configure the switch.
The command is entered from a CDE/Maintenance terminal connected to the RS-232 port on the 3300 ICP. Only users logged in at the Installer or System levels can use the command.
The system creates a security log each time the Port Enable command is used and when the port is closed by the user logging out or by the inactivity timer expiring on the System Administration Tool session.
The UPGRADE qualifier disables the administrator's CDE logout timer allowing the port to remain open for the duration of the upgrade process.
System Response:
Enabling ESM access Port
Note: The system response indicates only that the command has been accepted. You should monitor the status of the network connection from the Network Connections panel (available through Programs> Accessories > Communications in Windows XP) on the PC connected to the WAN port to determine when the commands have been successfully executed.
