Purpose:

Installs firmware for the MIPS Processor (CFE) load on CX, CX II, MXe, and AX platforms, the RTC 1. Real Time Clock. 2. Real Time Complex. The RTC is a card that is used for the IP phones signaling, and for the ESM, DHCP, FTP and TFTP servers, among others. Call progress, device status and screen updated messages are sent between the IP Phones and the RTC., the ET2 Ethernet to TDM converter. Gateway between the traditional circuit-switched, time division multiplexed telephone systems and IP devices on the Ethernet., or all of the above from the hard drive in the controller. Also upgrades firmware for the following if required:

• Midplane (Motherboard) FPGA

• MSP430 MCU load on the midplane on CX, CX II, MXe, and AX platforms

• CPLD load on the linecards if it is on an AX Platform

• DSP II FPGA

Detail:

The command compares the installed firmware against the load on the hard drive. If the loads are different, installation proceeds.

The qualifiers select the processor board to be upgraded.

An error will display if the E2T qualifier is used and an E2T board is not installed.

Failed upgrade attempts are recorded in the PostSoftware log. Successful upgrades are not logged.
