Scheduler

Purpose:

This form enables you to schedule system events to run automatically. For example, you can create one event that causes the system to switch to night service every evening, and another event that causes it to switch to day service every morning.   

Use this form to perform the following tasks:

Field Descriptions

Title

The title of the event specified by the user. The title can contain any type of character, including spaces, and be up to 255 characters in length.

 

Activity

The type of activity scheduled to be executed:

  • DayService

  • NightService  

 

TriggerDate

The date and time the event is scheduled to occur.

Format: MMM DD, YYYY - HH:MM AM/PM

Example: Jan 14, 2011 - 7:30 PM

 

TriggerFrequency

The frequency the event is scheduled to occur:

  • Once

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

  • Yearly

 

Status  

Read-only field. The current status of the event:

  • Pending - the event has not yet occurred.

  • Successful - the event has occurred on schedule.

  • Failed - the event has failed to occur on schedule.

  • Running - the event is currently executing.  

 

Message  

Read-only field. Displays a system-generated message describing the results of the event. For example, the message "Day Service not implemented" indicates that an event has failed to occur.
