The 1400-User system configuration increases the capacity and efficiency of the 3300 ICP in installations that use the LX platform. These installations mainly include resilient and hot desk installations.
The 1400-User system configuration supports the following number of devices:
1400 active IP devices – increase from 700
5600 configurable IP devices – increase from 700
The current performance of the 3300 ICP is maintained. This configuration also allows you to provision more configurable IP Devices, especially Mobile users, than active IP Devices.
Understanding the difference between an active and configurable IP device helps to clarify the advantages of the 1400-user configuration. An active IP device is a desktop phone or software application that is presented to the ICP as a phone. These devices communicate with the ICP through IP. An active IP device has an active, open connection to the ICP.
A configurable IP device is the database record that represents an IP device in the 3300 ICP software. It does not exist outside the context of the 3300 database. When real IP devices register or become active IP devices with a 3300 ICP, configurable IP devices are associated with them to represent them in software.
