Changing User Data

To modify an existing user's configuration details

1. Access the User and Device Configuration form.

2. Select a user by clicking the appropriate row in the User and Device Configuration list.

3. Click Change. A detailed User and Device Configuration dialog appears.

4. Modify the necessary field(s) in the User and Device Configuration dialog.

• Notes:

• The Directory Number (DN) and Device Type field are required fields.

• Changing the user's DN automatically deletes the user's existing voice mailbox and creates a new voice mailbox that is associated with the new DN.

• You can change a phone's device type only within the category of devices to which it belongs. That is, you can change a Multiline IP device to a different Multiline IP device (for example, 5010 IP to 5235 IP), but you cannot change a Multiline IP device to an analog or DNI device type (not 5010 IP to Analog).

5. Click Save.
