If you are using the Export functionality from a form in the System Administration tool, and the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet fails to launch, use the following procedure to fix this problem.
To launch Excel Spreadsheets:
Disable the pop-up blocker in your browser.
In Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options.
Click the File Types tab.
In the Registered File Types list, select the XLS Microsoft Excel Worksheet type.
Click the Advanced button.
Clear the Browse in same window box.
Check the Confirm open after download box.
Click OK, and then click Close.
The Excel spreadsheet should now open in its own window.
