Before you begin ensure that the BRI NSU is programmed in the 3300 ICP call control.
The BRI NSU has the latest software and a default database already installed when it is shipped. If no numbers are programmed against the BRI ports, any number received from the system is accepted and the first available port is used (UK only).
To program a quick setup for the unit
Ensure an ARS route is set up to route calls to the BRI NSU
Configure the BRI port SPIDs (NA only)
Configure the BRI port local addressing (NA only)
These procedures allow you to define the basic communication between the BRI Network Services Unit and the system, and between the BRI NSU and the TEs. After the communication is established, the BRI card can be programmed according to customer requirements.
