The MITEL Call Distribution (MCD) feature is a prerequisite for this feature.
Automatic Attendant requires a recorded announcement device (RAD) connected to an ONS port.
The Automatic Attendant can be assigned as the DISA trunk answer point or dialed directly. Callers can also be transferred from a station to the Automatic Attendant.
Callers who reach the Automatic Attendant can dial a feature access code, hunt group number, system abbreviated dial number, or a specific station or RAD directly.
Additional DTMF receiver cards may be required in the system because a DTMF receiver is assigned to each incoming call until the RAD's message Length timer expires.
Outside calls routing to the RAD arrive on a DISA trunk. Because the call is a DISA call, all DISA features are available to the caller. For example, if the caller receives busy tone, the caller can press the # key to obtain dial -tone from the system (see Direct Inward System Access for more information).
