The Mitel Applications SuiteĀ® (MAS) is a software solution for the 3300 ICP that provides co-residency features for applications, such as NuPoint Unified Messaging, Teleworker, Unified Communicator Mobile, and Audio and Web Conferencing. MAS supports the co-residency of multiple applications
on a single server in either LAN mode or Network Edge mode, or
on an APC card that is installed in a 3300 CX II or CXi II controller.
MAS provides the following features for applications:
Single sign-on: a common login point
Administrator Portal: a common portal for administrators to configure all applications
User and Service Provisioning (USP): a common portal for users to enter user-configurable information.
Refer to the Mitel Applications Suite (MAS) documentation on the Mitel Customer documentation site for detailed information.
The "3300 CX II APC" is shipped as a separate component that must be installed in the CX II or CXi II controller by the technician.
Note: There are different variants of the APC. These APC variants are used in different controllers, perform different functions, and are not interchangeable.
the APC-CX(i) which hosts Mitel Standard Linux and runs standalone applications (such as Secure Call Recorder) can only be installed in the CX and CXi Controller. This version of the APC card does not support MAS.
the APC-MXe in the MXe Server is used exclusively to support the Mitel Communications Director software.
the CX II APC hosts Mitel Standard Linux and supports MAS 1.2 UR1 and later. This version of the card is supported in the CX II and CXi II controllers. When installed in the CX II, the card supports MAS in LAN mode, when installed in the CXi II controller, the card supports MAS in Network Edge mode.
Refer to the 3300 ICP Technician's Handbook for instructions on how to install the CX II APC in the controller.
Refer to the MAS Installation and Maintenance manual on the Mitel Customer documentation site for instructions on installing the software and configuring MAS on the CX II APC card.
