The Called Party Features Override feature allows calls from an extension to override any call redirection features, such as call forwarding, that are enabled on the destination extension.
If this feature is activated before a call is made to an extension and the call is unanswered, the call remains ringing on the extension. The primary purpose of this feature is to allow NuPoint Unified Messaging Call Director to maintain control of programmed call flows.
Called Party Features Override overrides the following features:
call forwarding
call rerouting
auto-campon
intercept handling (for an out-of-service called party)
ring group overflow
If this feature access code is invoked on a call and the destination station is busy or out-of-service. Busy tone or out-of-service tone is returned immediately to the calling station. The system will not apply camp-on, forwarding, intercept handling, or call rerouting.
The feature is only applicable to Mitel originating parties but the terminating party could be on a Mitel or another vendor's switch.
This feature is supported on a local 3300 ICP system and across a network of 3300 ICP systems. You must upgrade both the calling party's switch and the called party's switch to Release 8.0 UR1 software or later if the two parties are on different 3300 ICPs.
This partially feature is supported for calls across an MSDN/DPNSS network to extensions on a non-3300 ICP switch, if the switch supports the DPNSS Diversion - Bypass supplementary string, DIV-BY. In this case, the feature will override the Call Forwarding feature only. If the vendor's switch does not support the DIV-BY information string, the Called Party Features Override is not supported at all.
If you invoke the Called Party Features Override access code from a set on a Release 8.0 UR1 or later system to a set on a system that is running an earlier load, the call forwarding and reroute always are overridden but other reroute types, intercept handling, and so forth are not.
This feature is supported for calls between 3300 ICP systems that have Release 8.0 UR1 software (or later) across a 3300 ICP transit node that has an earlier release of software.
The following private network trunks support this feature:
MSDN/DPNSS
XNET
Mitel proprietary IP trunks.
This feature is not supported for calls
across QSig and SIP private network trunks
to an ACD path
across IP trunks that are programmed to support only QSig features (for example, for integration with an SX-200 ICP)
This feature does not override Do Not Disturb.
To allow an extension to override the call termination features at other extensions, enable the COS option "Called Party Features Override" in the Class of Service of the extension.
Assign a Feature Access code to the "Called Party Features - Override" feature in the Feature Access Codes form.
To allow NuPoint Unified Messenger Call Director to maintain control of programmed call flows, enter the "Call Termination Party Features - Override" feature access code in the Line Group Configuration Page of the NuPoint Unified Messenger Call Director Web Console. Enter the code in the "Forward Override FAC" field.
See the Feature-Phone Matrix (PDF or Microsoft Excel version) for a list of phones that can use this feature.
