The system can provide a pseudo-CO dial tone to prevent possible confusion to station users. Users hear dial tone to simulate that they have accessed a line outside the system (for example, by dialing 9).
Second dial tone is not available unless you enter a partial or complete external number in the "Digits Dialed" field of the ARS Digits Dialed form.
Enable Second Dial Tone in the ARS Leading Digits form.

When you dial an external number, you will hear a second dial tone at the appropriate time in the dialing sequence.
