E&M Trunks

Purpose:

This form allows you to program Music on Hold through an E&M Trunk card in a peripheral cabinet. Refer to Music on Hold for a description of the types of Music on Hold that are available.

Trunk Number

Enter a unique identification number for the trunk. This Trunk Number is used in the Trunk Groups form to collect trunks into Trunk Groups. Can be in the range of 1 to 9999.

  • Note: Deleting an entry from this form will also remove it from the Trunk Groups form. A trunk cannot be deleted if it is the last trunk in a trunk group.

Trunk Service Number

Enter a Trunk Service Number to define the incoming characteristics of the trunk. The Trunk Service Number is defined in the Trunk Attributes form. Any number of trunks may share the same Trunk Service Number.

  • Note: The Trunk Service Number and DTS Service Number fields are mutually exclusive. Complete one field only.

DTS Service Number

Enter a DTS service number to define the COS and Intercept Number of the trunk. The DTS Service Number is defined in the DTS Service Profiles form. Any number of trunks may share the same DTS Service Number.

  • Note: The Trunk Service Number and DTS Service Number fields are mutually exclusive. Complete one field only.

Circuit Descriptor Number

Enter a Circuit Descriptor Number to define the operational parameters of the trunk circuit. Any number of trunks may share the same Circuit Descriptor Number. Can be up to 32.

  • Note: The card type of the Trunk Circuit must match the card type of its corresponding circuit descriptor.

Interconnect Number

Enter a number which will be used in Interconnect Restriction to define which other devices can connect to the trunk. Can be between 1 and 64.
