Pickup Groups

Purpose:

The Pickup Groups form identifies the directory numbers that are members of a pickup group. Use this form when performing the following tasks:

Pickup Group

Enter a unique reference number (between 1 and 99999, inclusive) that identifies the pickup group (not dialable). The system supports up to 200 pickup groups per controller.

Suggested Pickup Group

System-generated, protected field. A suggested reference number that identifies the pickup group (not dialable). The suggested group number is the next available group number that is unique across the cluster.

  • Note: If adding a local pickup group, the number doesn't have to be unique across the cluster.

 

Auto Pickup

Select "Yes" to indicate a call to the pickup group will be directed to the first member of the group to go off hook. Select "No" to indicate a call to the pickup group is directed to the first member of the group to go off-hook and dial the Call Pickup feature access code or press the Call Pickup key (see Call Pickup). Do not enable Auto Pickup in a group that includes auto-answer devices (such as fax machines and modems) or Message Notification.

Select "Yes" to enable clustered call pickup.

  • Note: If a local call pickup group might eventually have remote members, you can select "Yes" for the local call pickup group as long as SDS sharing is enabled.

Pickup Group Members

 

Member Index

System-generated, protected field. Contains the number of members in the group. You can have up to 75 members per pickup group.

 

Number

Enter the directory numbers that are members of the pickup group. A station can only appear in one pickup group. A pickup group may be a mix of multiline set prime lines and standard telephones. A pickup group cannot include attendant console directory numbers or multiline set non-prime numbers.

Name

System-generated, protected field. Contains the name associated with this directory number in the Telephone Directory form.

 

Primary NE

System-generated, protected field.

For non-resilient pickup group members, this field displays the name of the local element (that is, the element that to which you are currently logged in).

For resilient pickup group members, this field displays the name of the primary element for the agent skill group.

 

Secondary NE

System-generated, protected field. If a pickup group member is resilient, this field displays the name of the member's secondary (backup) network element.
