Dialed Call Pickup lets you answer a call that is ringing at another station in your pickup group.
If more than one party attempts a Call Pickup, the first party will seize the call and the other parties will hear reorder tone.
Users must be in the same pickup group and can only pick up calls to other group members who have "Call Pickup - Dialed: Accept" set to "Yes" in their Class of Service.
RADs and embedded voice mail ports should not be included in Call Pickup groups.
A DSS/BLF ring continuous line appearance or a DTS line appearance on a member set can activate a member's pickup prompt even though pickup is not possible. Soft hold recalls and Callbacks cannot be picked up; however, a member with a display set will get a pickup prompt.
Call Pickup will not work under the following conditions and is subject to the applicable intercept treatment:
You are engaged in a call.
You have a caller on Consultation Hold.
The call is on Consultation Hold.
The call is a Callback or Recall.
An interconnect restriction exists between you and the calling party.
Ensure that stations are allowed to connect to one another on the Interconnect Restriction Table.
Complete the Pickup Groups form, placing stations that are allowed to pick up calls from one another in the same group. Set Auto Pickup to "Yes" if you want a call to the pickup group to be automatically directed to the first member of the group to go off-hook.
Note: Do not enable Auto Pickup if Voice Mail Message Notification is enabled.
Enable "Call Pickup - Dialed: Accept" in the Class of Service Options form to allow other users in the same pickup group to pick up calls to that set.
If you intend to use Feature Access codes in Operation, assign a code to Call Pickup - Dialed in the Feature Access Codes form.
If you intend to use a feature key in Operation, program a Pickup key in the Multiline Set Keys form or use Superkey (see Feature Keys for more information on Superkey programming). When a call rings at any set in your Pickup Group, including your own, the indicator lamp next to the Pickup key flashes.
See the Feature-Phone Matrix (PDF or Microsoft Excel version) for a list of phones that can use this feature.
