PSC DSP Selection

Purpose:

The Peripheral Switch Controller/Digital Signal Processor (PSC DSP) Selection form allows you to program Digital Signal Processors (DSP) as Frequency-shift Keying (FSK) generators and as Dual-tone Multi-frequency (DTMF) receivers. You can program DSPs according to the requirements of the system. The number of available DSPs corresponds to the number of configured PSCs.

After you reload the PSC information, the devices are in the idle state. When you conduct a Data Restore, the PSC circuits are not required to be in the manbusy state.

Select "DTMF Receivers" or "FSK Generators". Each DSP can support a maximum of 6 DTMF receivers or 6 FSK generators.

When the DTMF receivers or the FSK generators are manbusy, then the DSPs can be changed. The maximum number of FSK generators allowed is equal to 12 times the number of peripheral cabinets. The devices will remain in a manbusy state until they are returned to service.
