<new baud rate> <SC5550IP input or output system port name>
Note: This command is not supported for the LPR1 printer port.
You can interface the system's hotel/motel management application through the 5550 IP Console to a property management system (PMS). The PMS connects to the COM 1 port on the 5550 IP console PC through a serial connection. By default, the baud rate of this connection is 1200.
This command allows you to change the baud rate of COM Port 1 on the 5550 IP console PC to any of the following rates: 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 3600, 4800, 9600.
The system uses two ports, an input and output port, to send PMS data to the 5550 IP console. When entering the Baud command, ensure that you specify the port name of the 5550 IP console port. Set both the input and output port to the same Baud rate.
Note: You program the SC5550 IP port physical names in the System Ports form and the assign the system port names to their logical port names in the Application Logical Ports form.
