Reads all or part of the specified log on the Maintenance Command window.
An invalid destination message will be returned if this command is entered while the SMDR Real Time Reporting option is enabled in the SMDR Options form. To allow the command, ensure that the option is disabled and a log file is defined.
The ALL qualifier outputs all entries in the log.
The NEWEST X qualifier outputs the most recent X number of entries.
The OLDEST X qualifier outputs the oldest X number of entries in the log.
The INTO filename qualifier specifies the name of a file into which the log entries are written.
The MATCH X qualifier displays only those entries which contain the specified character string. The string may be specified in upper, lower, or mixed case. The string must be enclosed in double quotation marks if it contains embedded spaces or characters (such as / or >).
On the SUPERCONSOLE 1000, this command is found under the LOGS group of commands.
Hotel Logs provide access to the logs generated by the system during operation of the Hotel/Motel feature package. Wake-Up Logs, Call Block Logs, Room Monitor Logs and Time Logs can be generated. See Hotel/Motel Access System Logs for additional information.
To generate a Hotel Log, use the LOGSYS READ command with the HOTEL logname (see example below).
