Preparing an Existing Spreadsheet for Import

To prepare data for import, you have two options:

• Collect and save configuration data directly in the Import Spreadsheet form,
  or

• Save your own spreadsheet of configuration data in comma separated values (.CSV) file format.

If you are a spreadsheet savvy user, you may prefer to import your own existing spreadsheet of configuration data directly into the system database by saving the spreadsheet in the appropriate .CSV format. However, if you are not proficient in spreadsheet usage or if you are not familiar with CSV delimiter rules, you may find it easier to use the Import Spreadsheet for collecting, recording and importing your data.

To prepare a spreadsheet for import

1. Collect and record sufficient configuration data.

2. Save your spreadsheet for import.

3. Proceed to Previewing and Importing the Spreadsheet.
