Importing .csv Files
(Mitel Integrated Configuration Wizard)

The Configuration Wizard allows you to import .csv files to further customize or extend the initial configuration:

Creating .csv Files to Import 3300 ICP Data

To create .csv files from the 3300ICPImportSpreadsheet.xls file:

  1. Open the 3300ICPImportSpreadsheet.xls file in Microsoft Excel. This file is provided as part of the wizard installation and is stored in the Program Files\Mitel\x.x\Mitel Integrated Configuration Wizard\ImportSpreadsheet directory.

  1. Update the forms.
    Note: Use the tabs at the bottom of the page to select each form.

  1. Check that the data entered is in the valid format by using the Check Data Format buttons.
    Note: Only the format is checked, not the actual content. If the content breaks configuration rules, it will cause errors when imported, even though the format is correct.

  1. (Optional) In the Save to Directory box, enter the file location.

    Click Browse to search for a file location.

  2. Click Save for Import.

  3. Note: When you Save for Import, you will generate a .csv file for each form. If you want to change the .csv file later (after saving it), you can edit it separately in Excel or a text editor. If you'd prefer to use the spreadsheet for updates, you can save the spreadsheet as an .xls file with all the desired forms. You can then modify the forms and generate new .csv files as required.

Creating .csv Files to Import MAS User Data

To create .csv files from the UserServicesTemplate.csv file:

  1. Open the UserServicesTemplate.csv file in Excel. This file is provided as part of the wizard installation and is stored in the Program Files\Mitel\x.x\Mitel Integrated Configuration Wizard\ImportCSV directory.

  1. Read the instructions provided at the top of the template. Several sample records are included in the template.

  2. Note: Comments within the template are preceded by a #. Comments are not imported.

  1. Enter your data in the rows of the template. See Import Data Entry Format for details.

  1. Save the file with a .csv extension.

Importing the .csv File

To import a .csv file:

  1. Select the Import additional forms from csv files check box.
    Note: If the check box is cleared, all field entries are ignored.

  1. To add a .csv file, click Add, select the .csv file, and click Open.
    Note: The list order is irrelevant.

  1. If you want to remove a .csv file from the list, select the file and click Delete.

  2. Click Next to continue.

CAUTION: If you import a .csv file associated with a form that is modified by the Configuration Wizard, you will overwrite your wizard selections.
