Hotel/Motel Wake-up support provides:
Multiple wake-ups - up to 3 separate wake-up times for each room or suite.
Daily repetition of wake-ups - without resetting each day.
VIP/Personal wake-ups - the wake-up call is applied to the Wake-up Expiration Routing directory number in the Hotel Options form (normally an attendant or supervised extension). The attendant or Hotel employee will then personally provide the wake-up to the guest.
Wake-ups have the same behavior, and can be canceled using any method, regardless of how they were set. Wake-up calls for a suite are set against the Suite Pilot Number. By default, all wake-ups are cleared upon Guest Checkout.
You can disable wake-up on check-out in the Hotel Options form. Wake-ups that have not matured by the time the next guest checks in to the room are canceled at the time of check-in. Without this option, with Suite Services and using group check-out, all wake-up calls are disabled, causing guests to miss their wake-up calls.
The Locate Feature maintenance command displays up to 3 wake-ups and indicates the repeated (*) and VIP/Personal (#) attributes. In the case of a suite, they are displayed for primary suite extensions only.
A wake-up log entry is generated each time a wake-up call is set, attempted, changed, or canceled. The existing format of the wake-up log is as follows:
the number of the wake-up (1, 2, or 3) is displayed. If a number is not selected when setting the wake-up, the default "1" is displayed.
* (star) indicates the wake-up is repeated daily.
# (pound) indicates a VIP/Personal wake-up.
Wake-up Reports are also modified to include all active timers and indicate a repeated (*) or VIP/Personal (#) designation. For example:
Wake-up Report |

Room-Time |
Room-Time |

Extensions that will receive wake-up calls must be entered in the Guest Rooms form.
An attendant on another controller that is not part of a hospitality cluster can set up multiple wake up calls on extensions across DPNSS; however, the Wake-Up Expiration Routing point, programmed in the Hotel Options form, must be local to the extensions (that is, a directory number on the same controller). In a hospitality cluster, the directory number can be on any controller in the cluster.
Wake-ups (and all other Guest Services functions) cannot be set from a SUPERCONSOLE 1000 or 5540 IP Console in a Clustered Hospitality environment.
If a VIP/Personal wake-up is presented to an endpoint that is out-of-service or in absent mode, it is redirected to the extension which is to receive the VIP/Personal wake-up. If the endpoint is simply not answered, it will continue to ring and will not be redirected.
Wake-ups cannot be set against Linked Suite Pilot numbers.
Feature access codes are supported only through digit entry on the set. There is no support for prompting or softkeys on display sets.
Wake-up times set from a SUPERCONSOLE 1000 or 5540 IP Console cannot be closer than 21 minutes apart.
