Clustered Hospitality Gateway Home Element

Select the cluster element to assign it as the Hospitality Gateway ICP.

Leave the field blank if this element is not part of a hospitality cluster.

  • Notes:

  • All elements in the hospitality cluster (including the Gateway Home Element) require Release 8.0 or later software. The elements listed include all elements in the same cluster as the local element whether or not they have the required software.

  • Changes to this field can only be saved if the form is shared by SDS.

Property Management System Installed

Select Yes if a PMS is to be connected.

No

Update All Rooms with Status OCC/CLEAN to OCC/NOT CLEAN

(-Hours, -Minutes)

Select the time for the system to update the status of all occupied clean rooms to "not clean". If no time is entered the option is disabled.

Blank

Hotel Reports Generation - Hours, -Minutes

Enter the time for the system to generate Room Status, Wake-up Calls, and Message Registration reports. If no time is entered the option is disabled.

Blank

Call Block - Affected Interconnect Number

Enter the interconnect restriction number for the call block feature. Changing this value affects extensions only for newly registered guest rooms. Currently registered guests continue to operate with the old interconnect restriction number.

  • Note: Ensure that this interconnect number does not restrict the guest extensions from placing calls on the trunks that are used for emergency calls; otherwise, the system will prevent guest extensions from making emergency calls when call block and curfew control are activated.

50

Call Block - Unaffected Interconnect Number

Enter the interconnect restriction number that is not affected by the call block feature.

2

Call Block Enabled - Hours, Minutes

Select the time the system will alter the interconnect restriction numbers for room extensions programmed with the affected interconnect number. At the time specified, extensions programmed as "call block affected" are restricted from calling each other. Blank indicates no call block actions are taken.

Blank

Call Block Disabled - Hours, - Minutes

Select the time the system alters the interconnect restriction numbers for room extensions programmed with the affected interconnect number. At the time specified, extensions programmed as "call block affected" are permitted to make inter-room calls.

Blank

Call Restriction (Class of Restriction)

Determines the type of call a particular extension is permitted to make. Internal, local, and long distance can be programmed as the calling privilege by altering the COR values associated with the extensions. The alterations take place at check in and check out time, as programmed below.

  • Internal: Enter the COR value that restricts the extension to internal calls only.

  • Local: Enter the COR value that enables local and internal calls.

  • Long Distance: Enter the COR value that enables long distance, local and internal calls.

  • Option 1, Option 2 and Option 3: For each of these fields, enter a COR value that gives access to any special long distance facilities or ARS routes the hotel provides.

Check In Parameters

Using these fields the hotel administration can define the call restriction and call block parameters to be applied to extensions when the registration process is carried out.

  • Call Restriction: Select the type of restriction to be applied to the room extension at check in time (Internal, Local, Long Distance and Option 1, 2 or 3).

  • Call Block: Select "Affected" or "Unaffected" as the type of call block to be applied to the room extension at check in time.

Internal/Unaffected

Check Out Parameters

Using these fields the hotel administration can define the Call Restriction and call block parameters to be applied to extensions when the check out process is carried out.

  • Call Restriction: Select the type of restriction to be applied to the room extension after the check out is completed (Internal, Local, Long Distance, and Option 1, 2, or 3).

  • Call Block: Select "Affected" or "Unaffected" as the type of call block to be applied to the room extension after the check out is completed.

Internal/Unaffected

Wake-up Call Attributes - Ring Time

Enter the length of time that the room extension is to ring for each wake-up attempt. The permitted range is 1 to 50 seconds.

30 seconds

Wake-up Call Attributes - Attempts

Enter the number of times that each room extension is rung during the wake-up attempt. The permitted range of values is 1 to 4 attempts.

3 attempts

Wake-up Call Attributes - Interval

Enter the interval between wake-up attempts. The permitted range of values is 2 to 7 minutes.

5 minutes

Wake-up Call Attributes - Expiration Routing

Enter an internal directory number to which the unacknowledged wake-up call will be routed. This is typically a softkey appearance on an attendant console.

  • Note: The Wake-Up Call Expiration Routing Destination in a clustered hospitality environment should reside on a 3300 ICP running Release 8.0 or greater. This is to ensure proper wake-up call delivery.

Blank

Wake-up Call Attributes - Bell Tone on Wake-up Expiration

Select "Yes" to enable the insertion of the ASCII BEL character, 07hex, in the data stream of a wake-up log. Logs are generated for each wake-up that is not successful. These logs are generally routed to a printer. Select "No" to disable the insertion of the character into the wake-up logs.

No

Message Registration Parameters

Permits the hotel administration to apply a surcharge on a per-call basis for calls made from room extensions, and also to define the cost on a per-meter-pulse basis received from a central office for external calls.

  • Surcharge: Enter the basic surcharge applied to each call made from a room extension. The permitted range of values is 0 to 999 units.

  • Multiplier: Enter the multiplier to be applied against the meter pulses received from a central office for external calls. The permitted range of values is 0 to 200 units.
    Default is 0.

Wake-up Directory Number

Enter the directory number for the wake-up RAD. The ANSWER PLUS - MITEL Call Distribution (MCD) feature must be installed in order to program the wake-up RAD. If this field is blank, the guest will hear reorder tone when they acknowledge the wake-up call.

Blank

Curfew Control Enabled

Select Yes to enable curfew control functionality. Calls in progress at the start of the Call Block period are provided with a warning tone indicating the start of the Curfew Control Forced Cleardown Timer. They then have the amount of time specified in the timer to finish the call. If set to No, the Call Block fields function normally.

No

Curfew Forced Cleardown Timer

Timer (0 - 10 min): Enter the amount of time between curfew expiry and when active calls will be forcibly cleared down. This timer has a minimum value of 0 and a maximum value of 10 minutes.

0 minutes

Cancel Wake-ups on Checkout

Select No to disable the automatic cancellation of Wake-ups on Check-Out. Wake-ups that have not matured by the time the next guest checks in to the room are cancelled at the time of check-in.

With Suite Services and group check-out, all wake-up calls are cancelled. Without this option, guests would miss their wake-up calls when the room is checked out before the guests leave.

Yes

PMS Connectivity

Specifies the type of connection used between the PMS and the 3300 ICP for the hotel/motel management signals (does not apply to the voice mail signals).

Select Logical Port if the PMS is connected via a 5550 IP console using an RS-232 connection.

Select Network if using the PMS is connected directly to the 3300 ICP network (IP connection using port 15374).

Logical Port

Default Checked Out Name

When a guest room in a hospitality cluster is checked out, all  entries in the Telephone Directory form that are associated with the Guest Room are replaced with one entry containing the name entered in this field. The name can be up to 21 alphanumeric characters long, including comma delimiting "last, first" names.

The replacement removes all unnecessary telephone directory entries throughout the cluster while maintaining the RDN entry, which allows the guest room to remain dialable.

Blank

PMS Throttle - Max Retries (0-19 times)

Sets the number of times the 3300 ICP forces the PMS to retry a transaction such as a room check-in or check-out. Choose a value that allows the 3300 ICP sufficient time to act on PMS requests during peak busy periods.

18

PMS Throttle - Delay (0-2 seconds)

Sets the amount of time that the 3300 ICP waits before responding with a negative acknowledgement (NAK) message to a PMS request.

0

PMS - Seven-Digit Extension Numbers

Increases the allowed length of extension numbers sent from the 3300 ICP to the PMS application from five digits to seven digits. Embedded voice mail is still restricted to a maximum of six  digits.
