Call Block prevents calls from being made between guest rooms. When you check a guest in or out of a room, the system resets the Call Block field for the room to the value programmed in the Hotel Options form. This value is set to either "affected" or "unaffected". When Call Block is on, rooms set to "affected" status cannot make calls to other guest rooms, while rooms set to "unaffected" status can make calls to other guest rooms.
The system can route blocked calls to the attendant console. When a guest attempts to make a call from a room that has Call Block enabled, to another room in the hotel, the call will be routed to the attendant console. You can then connect the call from the attendant console.
You can also program the system to automatically enable and disable Call Blocking. Enter the times that you want the system to enable and disable Call Blocking in the Hotel Options form.
The system generates a log entry whenever the Call Block attribute is changed.
Ensure that the necessary Interconnect Restriction has been programmed.
