The 3300 CITELlink Gateway allows the 3300 ICP controller to support legacy Nortelâ„¢ Meridian 1 and Norstar telephone sets. The gateway translates the 3300 ICP IP phone protocol to Norstar or Meridian set protocol allowing Norstar and Meridian 1 phones to function as Mitel IP phones.
There are different versions of the CITELlink Gateway, according to the phone types supported.
The CITELlink Gateway (PN 1898MTLHSG) allows the following Nortel Meridian 1 sets to function on the 3300 ICP system:

The CITELlink Gateway (PN 1695MTLHSG) allows the following Nortel Norstar sets to function on the 3300 ICP system:

The gateway connects to a port on a layer-2 switch in the network. The Nortel sets connect to the gateway through the existing telephone wiring, punchdown blocks, and connectors. The gateway supports up to 24 Nortel telephone sets.
The 3300 CITELlink Gateway provides users of legacy Nortel phones with most of the features available on Mitel phones. However, please note that the following Mitel features are NOT supported:
Resiliency
5700 Voice First Application
Hot Desking
Compression
ACD
You can access the documentation listed above from the internet on the Mitel Customer Documentation web site.
See the 3300 CITELlink Gateway Installation and Maintenance guide available on the Mitel Customer Documentation web site.
Notes:
The CITELlink gateway contains two Network Layer Processors (NLPs) referred to as NLPA and NLPB. Each processor supports 12 phones and requires its own unique IP address. When using DHCP, the DHCP server must have at least two spare IP addresses (one for each NLP). When editing settings manually, you must enter a unique IP address in the myIPAdress field of both the NLPA and the NLPB forms. In addition, we recommend that you connect the CITELlink gateway to the ACCESS PORT of the Layer2 switch for the associated VLAN.
A 3300 ICP user license is required for each phone on the CITELlink gateway.
In the Multiline IP Sets form, assign the phones with device type of CITELlink Type1 or CITELlink Type2. See table for to determine the assignment of the device type.
In the Multiline Set Keys form, assign the line select keys to features as required. To identify the location of the line select keys on a CITELlink Type1 or CITELlink Type2 device type, click on the model in the table.
See the 3300 CITELlink Gateway Phone User Guides on the Mitel Customer Documentation web site. See About the 3300 ICP Documentation Set for information.
The Nortel Meridian 1 and Norstar phones appear to the system as either 5010 IP Phones (CITELlink Type 1 phones) or 5020 IP Phones (CITELlink Type 2 phones). When using maintenance commands to gather information on these phones, they appear as either 5010 or 5020 IP Phones, except when using the Locate command, which lists them as CITELlink Type 1 or Type 2 phones.
