MiTAI Support

MiTAI - The MITEL Telephony Application Interface is a Toolkit and run-time software that enables MiTAI-based computer telephony applications. The MiTAI applications programming interface is Mitel's richest API allowing applications to manipulate call control and provide for superior functionality in deployed applications. Applications can run in a client PC using MiTAI client licenses, or in a server environment using MiTAI Remote licenses.

For a complete description, technical information, and installation, please refer to the Mitel Solutions Alliance (MSA) Developers Program at Mitel OnLine.

If you want to develop using Mitel MiTAI service, please contact the Mitel Solutions Alliance (MSA) Developers Program. After joining the program, Mitel will make all software and documentation available to you.

CTI Ready

MITEL CTI-Ready software allows you to integrate your MITEL system with LAN computing environments. Examples include automated outbound dialing, and preview dialing, adjunct routing, and inbound call management among others.

MITEL Telephony APIs can also be used to gain access to valuable information associated with calls. Applications will report both the ANI or caller ID of an incoming call as well as the DNIS or the number dialed by the caller. This information is useful in customer service and desktop environments where automated screen pops of a caller's record can appear on the agent's workstation. You can also develop applications to log abandoned calls, and arrange for callback when agents are less busy. Mitel offers you the following API's:

MiTAI API

MiTAI is capable of running telephony applications remotely using TCP/IP on a client PC or server via an Ethernet LAN.

TALK TO TAPI Client Server Service Provider

The MITEL TALK TO TAPI C/S service provider adds TAPI compatibility to the system or client PC. TAPI compatible applications such as Microsoft Outlook will then have transparent access to MITEL Phone networks. The TAPI phone interface can be administered using Microsoft's standard TAPI administration tools.
