Attendant Hold lets you temporarily suspend a telephone call. While the call is on Hold, you can use the other telephone features. After a programmed period of time, the attendant console emits a tone to remind you that a call is on Hold.
After placing the call on hold, you can use paging to announce it. The requested party can then use the Attendant Hold - Remote Retrieve feature to pick up the call.
Note: Do not confuse Attendant Hold with the wait period that occurs during other feature activations (such as Transfer). This wait period is referred to as Consultation Hold.
Conferences may be placed on Hold.
