Auto-Answer lets you automatically answer calls that ring your Prime line.
Auto-Answer only works on extensions that have a speakerphone.
On the SUPERSET 4015, SUPERSET 4215, 5005 IP Phone, 5010 IP Phone, 5205 IP Phone, and 5235 IP Phone, Auto-Answer only works in headset mode.
Auto-Answer does not operate when the incoming call on your Prime line is:
received while you are engaged in a call on another line
a CO or DID call at the local system or across the DPNSS network (except for DASSII and DDI calls)
received from an incoming trunk where the set is programmed as the trunk's first answer point (e.g., DID or DIL)
received from a trunk that is not programmed to provide release supervision.
Auto-Answer overrides Call Forward unless Auto-Answer is inhibited by another condition.
Auto-Answer is not supported on 5560 IPTs.
Auto-Answer is not supported on SpectraLink Wireless Telephones. If you accidentally activate Auto-Answer on a SpectraLink telephone and a call is made to the telephone, the following symptoms will be exhibited
The SpectraLink telephone will not ring.
The calling party will see "Auto Answer" in the set display and hear ringback 3 times. Then, "timeout" will appear in the display.
