Copying Key Assignments

The Multiline Set Keys form allows you to copy key assignments from one multiline set to one or more other multiline sets.

You cannot copy User Speedcall and User Speedcall - Private keys. If speed call keys are required, program them as CDE Speedcall keys.

If a Single Line type key must be copied, select "Multicall" or "Key System" from the list (see procedure below). The Single Line key will be changed to the chosen line type when it is copied. When a copy operation is attempted for a Single Line type, an error is generated.

The number of programmable keys varies according to the type of set. Keys from one set can only be copied to keys that correspond to the same button number on another set. For example you can select keys 2, 3, and 4 on a 5020 IP Phone (14 keys) and copy them to a 5140 IP Phone (9 keys) and a 5010 IP Phone (7 keys). You cannot copy button 10 from a 5020 IP Phone to a 5010 IP Phone.

Before You Begin

Ensure that the database on the network elements you are copying from and to is not being used by another application such Customer Data Entry (CDE on an SX-2000).
