Curfew Control is used in conjunction with Call Blocking to provide users on active calls with a warning tone and, if programmed, a grace period before Call Blocking takes affect. For more information, see Hotel/Motel Enable Call Blocking.
With Curfew Control
enabled, users on active calls at curfew (Call Block Enabled time) receive
a warning tone indicating that all calls
After curfew, normal call blocking takes affect. Calls to members of the same interconnect number are disallowed and the user hears reorder tone upon dialing. Calls to members of a different interconnect number are connected only long enough for the user to hear a warning tone and have the call cleared down.
Note: Emergency calls are not affected by this feature.
The Hotel/Motel optional feature must be enabled on the system.
Consoles and trunks are not affected.
Only the party whose curfew has expired will hear the warning tone.
Route Optimization will not take place after the curfew has expired.
Interconnect restrictions are enforced and relaxed according to the programmed Call Block Enable and Disable times.
If the Call Block fields are not programmed, the Curfew Control fields have no effect on call processing.
In the Hotel Options form:
Enter the interconnect value in the Affected and Unaffected Interconnect Number fields.
Set the Call Block Enabled option to the desired time of the curfew (initial warning tone), and the Call Block Disabled option to the desired time when the curfew restrictions will no longer take effect.
Set the Curfew Control Enabled option to "Yes"
Set the Curfew Forced Cleardown Timer to the amount of time a user has to finish their call (the amount of time between the initial warning tone and the forced cleardown).
None.
