This feature allows external callers who are transferred to hear Music on Hold while waiting for an answer.
This option only applies to external trunk calls.
This feature only applies to a single system. It is not supported across a network or cluster of systems. The external trunk, transferring party and the destination must all reside on the same system.
To enable Music on Hold on Transfer:
Enable "Music on Hold on Transfer" in the Class of Service Options of the incoming trunk or transferring device.
If you enable this option in the COS of an incoming external trunk, then Music on Hold is played for all transfers of the calls that came in on that trunk.
If you enable this option in the COS of the transferring device, but leave it disabled in the COS of the incoming trunk, then Music on Hold is played for all calls that are transferred by that device.
Enable "Public Trunk" in the Class of Service of any E&M trunks that required Music On Hold on Transfer.
