Program a DNIC Music On Hold/Pager Unit (DMP)

Overview:

The DMP connects to a port on a Peripheral Cabinet DNI Line Card, and provides:

The unit is powered by the system. An LED indicator provides status information.

Before You Begin

Programming

Program DNIC Music on Hold

  1. System Options form
    Set the Music On Hold option to "Yes".

  2. (Optional) Class of Service Options form
    Set Music on Hold On Transfer to "Yes"as desired for each Class of Service.

  1. Program the DMP as a single line DNI telephone.
    A directory number is not required for programming a DMP.

  2. System Access Points form
    Set "Music Source" to "External".
    In the "Music Source Port - Location ID" field, enter the PLID of the DMP.

Program DNIC Paging

Use this procedure to program each paging zone as well as an all-zone paging zone.

  1. Program the DMP as a single line DNI telephone.

  2. Feature Access Codes form
    Assign a paging access code.

  3. (Optional) System Options form
    Set Music on Hold on Transfer to "Yes"

  4. Class of Service Options form
    Set "Pager Access All Zones" and "Pager Access Individual Zones" as desired for each Class of Service.
    (Optional) Set Music on Hold on Transfer to "Yes"as desired for each Class of Service.

  5. Loudspeaker Paging form
    Assign a zone number and interconnect number to any one paging circuit in the  form.
