Personal Softkeys are in effect when the Lock Default Configuration field in the Multiline IP Sets is set to No, and Personal Softkeys is set to Yes in the 5235 Idle Softkeys form.
Personal Softkeys are available for programming regardless of the state of the Lock Default Configuration field for the Personal Softkeys in Effect flag.
Personal Softkeys will be inactive if the Class of Service (COS) is not enabled.
Personal Softkeys are only available when the 5235 IP Phone is idle.
Line appearances are not allowed as personal softkeys.
Line select keys are not available as personal softkeys.
Superkey programming of the personal keys should not be used since a label will not be shown for the key.
When the Lock Default Configuration field in the Multiline IP Sets form is to Yes, the softkeys are locked to default idle softkeys.
The Personal Softkeys in Effect flag can be set or cleared by a check box on the Settings Shutter, independent of the Lock Default Configuration setting.
The user may select their Personal Softkeys even if the set is locked to defaults. The Personal Softkeys will not display until the set is unlocked. The Lock Default Configuration is provided for display on the set to indicate to the user why the Personal Softkeys are not displayed.
