5235 Idle Softkeys

Purpose:

The 5235 Idle Softkeys form allows the user to customize the six softkeys of the Mitel 5235 IP Phone. Users can retain the six default softkeys or they can choose Personal Softkeys to replace the defaults. All six keys must be used for either application.

Prime Directory Number

System-generated, protected field. Indicates the unique directory number of the multiline set, as defined in the Multiline IP Sets form, or the Multiline DNI Sets form.

 

Prime Name

System-generated, protected field. Displays the name associated with the primary directory number.

 

Lock Default Configuration

System-generated, protected field. This field indicates that the default idle softkeys are not locked and can be set to Personal Softkeys.

Personal Softkeys Selected

Select "Yes" to allow the six Personal Softkeys to be used, rather than the default idle softkeys. The Lock Default Configuration must be set to "No".

Key Number

System-generated, protected field. Contains entries numbered from 1 to 6 to designate the six idle softkeys.

 

Key Directory Number

If CDE Speedcall is selected as the Feature Type, use this field to program or delete the CDE Speedcall. To program a CDE speedcall, enter the destination directory number (maximum of 7 digits) in this field.

If User Speedcall is selected as the Feature Type, use this field to program or delete non-private user speedcalls. To program a user speedcall, enter the destination directory number (maximum of 26 digits) in this field. If the speedcall is private, the Key Directory Number field displays  "xxxxxxx".

Feature Type

Select a feature name from the feature drop-down list. The feature type defaults to unassigned and deleting a feature causes it to revert to unassigned. COS-dependent features can be configured, but the feature remains inactive if the COS is not enabled.
