The 5235 Idle Softkeys form allows the user to customize the six softkeys of the Mitel 5235 IP Phone. Users can retain the six default softkeys or they can choose Personal Softkeys to replace the defaults. All six keys must be used for either application.
The defaults for the idle softkeys are as follows:
Phone: Used to access programmable keys and the main phone and call control interface.
People: Accesses a personal contacts list.
Messages: Displays the visual voice mail interface used to interact with voice mail system.
History: Shows a log of missed, made, and answered calls.
Settings: Used to customize the 5235 IP Phone.
Applications: Provides a launch point to the Conference Control and Web Browser applications.
Use this form when performing the following tasks:
Only the Phone and Application softkeys can be programmed from the System Administration Tool; the others must be programmed from the phone.

If CDE Speedcall is selected as the Feature Type, use this field to program or delete the CDE Speedcall. To program a CDE speedcall, enter the destination directory number (maximum of 7 digits) in this field. If User Speedcall is selected as the Feature Type, use this field to program or delete non-private user speedcalls. To program a user speedcall, enter the destination directory number (maximum of 26 digits) in this field. If the speedcall is private, the Key Directory Number field displays "xxxxxxx". |
