Allows members of a Key System Group to disable automatic privacy protection to allow another member of the group to join the call. When a new member enters the call the original members receive a conference tone and the privacy feature is restored.
Prior to activating the feature the set must be in the talking state.
The feature can only be selected when the line being used is a member of a key system group.
Privacy release does not apply if a station which has "Conference" and "Privacy Released" in its Class of Service, is included in the call, unless that station user has activated the "Call Privacy" feature.
The feature cannot be selected when:
any user in the call has another call on consultation hold,
one of the parties in the call is an attendant or a non-busy extension,
the set is in display, select features or add held mode,
all members of the key system group are involved in the call,
the set is involved in a conference that has been placed on hold,
the set is involved in a conference having the maximum number of members.
This feature is not applicable to the Mitel 5001 IP Phone, Mitel 5201 IP Phone or Symbol Wireless Phones.
When a conference is established with the privacy release feature, the parties do not hear a conference tone if they all have Disable Executive Busy Join Tone set to "Yes" in their COS.
To access the feature, the set must have "Conference" selected in its Class of Service.
