EDT Cancel Handoff

Qualifiers:

<cabinet> <shelf> <slot> <port> (default port is 1)

Purpose:

Use this command to cancel the EDT Courtesy Handoff command and keep any resilient T1/E1 trunks circuits that have not already been handed off to the secondary on the primary controller.

After you enter this command on the primary controller

  1. Any T1/E1 trunks circuits that have not already been handed off to the secondary remain on the primary controller.

  2. Any T1/E1 circuits that have already been handed off to the secondary controller, remain on the secondary controller until they are sent back to the primary controller by the Programmed Failback or you force them back by entering the EDT Forced Failback command.

System Response:

If resiliency is not enabled for the trunk, the system response is

2005-11-18  11:00:27  EDT CANCEL HANDOFF Failed, Resiliency not enabled.

If you do not enter the command from the primary controller, the system response is

2005-11-18  11:00:27  EDT CANCEL HANDOFF Failed, must invoke from Primary Controller.

If the trunk is not connected to a T1/E1 Combo MMC, the system response is

2005-11-18  11:00:27  EDT CANCEL HANDOFF Failed, T1E1 Combo Module required.

If you enter the EDT Cancel Failback against the same circuits twice, the system response is

2005-11-18  11:00:27  EDT CANCEL HANDOFF: already cancelled.
