EDT

The Embedded Digital Trunk (EDT) commands provide diagnostic information for embedded digital trunks (PRI, BRI, QSIG, and T1D4). For information about using EDT maintenance commands to troubleshoot digital trunks, see the 3300 ICP Troubleshooting Guide.

• Note: To display the qualifiers supported for a specific EDT command, enter the command. Examples:
  
  Input: EDT SHOW
  Output: EDT SHOW <FRAMER, LINK, TSP, VDSU, FIM>
  
  Input: EDT SHOW FRAMER
  Output: EDT SHOW FRAMER <CONFIG, REGS, STATS, HELP>
  
  Input: EDT SHOW FRAMER CONFIG
  Output: EDT SHOW FRAMER CONFIG <ALL, BRI, PRI, T1D4, DPNSS>

The following commands are available:

EDT HELP - lists the embedded digital trunk commands and the supported command qualifiers

EDT ENABLE LOGTOFILE - starts logging traces to the /db/LDS_Trace.rtf file (/db/DigTrkTrace file prior to Release 6.0) on the hard drive.

EDT DISABLE LOGTOFILE - stops logging traces to file on the hard drive.

EDT ENABLE DBFLAGS - obtains the debug flag settings stored on the hard drive

EDT DISABLE DBFLAGS - sets all debug flags to off (default setting)

EDT DELETE DBFILES - deletes the contents of the debug files

EDT SHOW FRAMER STATS - displays the statistic for the framer

EDT SHOW FRAMER CONFIG - displays the configuration for the framer

EDT SHOW FRAMER REGS - displays the registers for the framer

EDT SHOW LINK CONFIG - displays the configuration of the link

EDT SHOW LINK STATUS - displays the link status

EDT SHOW FIM TABLE - lists all the Fiber Interface Modules (FIMs) on the system

EDT SHOW VDSU TABLE - lists all the virtual Digital Service Units (VDSUs) on the system

EDT SHOW LINK INFO - identifies the digital trunk type of the links

CAUTION: Tracing can impact system performance, so only enable tracing when traffic levels are low. Also, do not enable tracing for extended periods of time. To minimize the impact on performance, direct trace information to the trace file by using the EDT ENABLE LOGTOFILE command.  

EDT TRACE TSP L2L3 - toggles tracing of the call control messages for the SP Stack of the Layer 2/3 switch

EDT TRACE TSP CC  - toggles SP Call Control verbose message trace

EDT TRACE TSP MTCE  - toggles SP Maintenance verbose message trace

EDT TRACE TSP SRVC  - toggles SP Service verbose message trace

EDT TRACE VDSU UAPI - toggles tracing of the VDSU UAPI messages

EDT TRACE VDSU VB - toggles VDSU messages in verbose mode

EDT TRACE FIM DEBUG - toggles debug messages for the FIM

EDT TRACE FIM PRINT - toggles printing of the FIM data members

EDT TRACE VDSU CP - toggles tracing of the VDSU  call processing messages

EDT TRACE VDSU NAMNUM - toggles Name/Number message tracing
