To merge two existing data-sharing clusters that each belong to the same SDS network,
In the cluster with the fewest elements (for example cluster A), turn SDS off and then on again at each of the cluster elements. See Enabling SDS.
Choose a member element from the smaller cluster (for example, element A1 from cluster A) and a member element from the larger cluster (for example, element B1 from cluster B)
Log into element B1 and add cluster element A1 to the Network Elements form of element B1, if it is not already present in the form.
From element B1, add element A1 as a cluster element of cluster B and start sharing with it. This step brings the network elements and cluster elements that are defined on element A1 into the Network Elements form of element B. See Adding the Cluster Elements and Start Sharing Data.
From element B1 add all the elements that you want to belong to the new merged cluster into the Cluster Elements form.
From element B1, start sharing with all the elements added to cluster B.
Update the cluster name and PNI, if necessary.
Complete the cluster programming that is not shared (CEID Index, CEID Digits, Feature DN number, Remote Directory Number entries, and ARS programming) in the forms of each cluster element:
for all the elements that initially belonged to cluster A, (A1, A2, A3, and so forth) you must complete cluster programming for the elements that initially belonged to cluster B (B1, B2, B3, and so forth), and
for all the elements in that initially belonged to cluster B, (B1, B2, B3, B4, and so forth) you must complete cluster programming for the elements that initially belonged to cluster A (A1, A2, A3, and so forth).
