Each peripheral device is assigned an Interconnect Number that is used to restrict one device from connecting with another. Interconnect Restrictions can be used to restrict access to certain trunks, stations, or equipment (i.e. data communications equipment). The restriction is also a function of the direction of the call.
Interconnect restrictions cannot be overridden by user features.
If you attempt to violate an Interconnect Restriction, you will hear reorder tone or your call will be rerouted (see Intercept Handling).
Assign an Interconnect Number to each station/circuit in that station's form (for example, Analog Sets form).
Assign an Interconnect Number to each trunk in the Digital Trunks form.
Assign restrictions to the Interconnect Numbers in the Interconnect Restriction form.
