The Digital Trunks form is used to assign identification numbers to all digital trunk circuits in the system. It is also used to assign Trunk Service Numbers that link the trunks to entries in the Trunk Attributes form and the appropriate Trunk Circuit Descriptor form. The Trunk Numbers assigned in this form are used in the Trunk Groups form.
Use this form when performing the following tasks:
A trunk identified as having the DPNSS signaling protocol must reside on a DPNSS link. A trunk identified as having DASS II signaling protocol must reside on a DASS II link (DASS II applies to the United Kingdom only).
Parameter |
Description |
Default Value |
Cabinet, Shelf, Slot, Circuit |
System-generated, protected field. Identifies the card location. |
|
Card Type |
System-generated, protected field. Indicates the card type. |
|
Trunk Number |
Enter a unique number containing up to four digits from 1 to 9999 to identify the trunk. This Trunk Number is used in the Trunk Groups form in order to collect trunks into Trunk Groups. The lowest trunk number you can enter is 1, the highest is 9999. The maximum number of trunks that you can program is 628. Note: Deleting an entry from this form will also remove it from the Trunk Groups form. A trunk cannot be deleted if it is the last trunk in a trunk group. |
Blank |
Trunk Service Number |
Enter the Trunk Service Number that designates a line in the Trunk Attributes form where the incoming characteristics of the trunk will be defined. Refer to the "Trunk Service Number" entry in the Engineering Information section of the Product Specification section for the maximum acceptable Trunk Service Number for the site being configured. The "Trunk Service Number" and the "DTS Trunk Service Number" fields are mutually exclusive entries. Fill in one only. Any number of trunks may share the same Trunk Service Number. |
Blank |
DTS Service Number |
Enter the DTS service number that designates a line in the DTS Service Profiles form where the Class of Service and Intercept Number for the trunk are defined. The "Trunk Service Number" and the "DTS Trunk Service Number" fields are mutually exclusive entries. Fill in one only. |
Blank |
Circuit Descriptor Number |
Enter the Trunk Circuit Descriptor Number from 1 to 32 under which the operational parameters of the trunk circuit are defined. Any number of trunks may share the same circuit descriptor number. |
Blank |
Interconnect Number |
Enter a number from 1 to 64 that is used in the Interconnect Restriction Table to define which other devices the trunk may be connected to. |
Blank |
Tenant Number |
Enter the number of the trunk's tenant. |
1 (landlord) |
