Callback Messaging lets you leave a callback signal on a telephone when the called party is busy or does not answer. The callback signal can be a flashing lamp, or a name and number message (on display sets). When you receive a callback, you can review the message on the display (if applicable) and/or call the sender back.
Callback Messaging does not apply to 2500 telephones.
Name and number messages only apply to display telephones.
Name and number messages only operate if the call is placed to the Prime line, a single non-Prime line, or a non-prime group in which the set is the first one listed in the appropriate Group form.
A message is automatically cancelled if the sender and receiver have a telephone conversation (not a Conference).
Program the SUPERSET Callback Message Cancel Timer in the System Options form. If this field is blank, callback messages are kept indefinitely.
To prevent the Ring/Message Waiting indicator lamp that is located at the top of the set from flashing when a user has a message, enable COS option "Message Waiting - Disable Ringing Lamp Notification" for the set.
See the Feature-Phone Matrix (PDF or Microsoft Excel version) for a list of phones that can use this feature.
