Camp-on Repetitive Tone Timer

Enter the time, in seconds, of the interval at which a system tone is played to a person involved in a call to alert that person that someone has camped on to their line, and that there is a call waiting.

The camp-on tone is played in the ear piece or at the speaker of the person who is receiving the camp-on.

The tone is removed if the camped-on call is abandoned.

If the timer is set to zero, a single camp-on tone is played at the time the camp-on occurs.

If the timer is set to a low value, the system tone may interrupt the audio. To avoid this problem, use a value greater than five seconds.

Constraints: None.

Default:    Zero

Minimum:  Zero

Maximum: 60

Disabled:   Zero

Conference/Call Intrusion Repetitive Tone Timer

Enter the time, in seconds, of the interval at which a system  tone is played during a conference or during a call intrusion. The tone is repeated at the specified interval for the duration of the call.

If this value is set to zero, parties on a Conference hear a single tone when the conference call is established. For the Override feature, the parties hear a tone approximately every 5 seconds.

Constraints:

Repetitive tones are not used during the operation of the following features:

  • Record-A-Call

  • Silent Monitor

  • Route Optimization

The tones are not played if

  • all members of a conference have Disable_Conference_Join Tone set to "Yes" in their COS

  • all members of an intruded call have Disable_Executive_Busy_Override_Tone set to "Yes" in their COS.

  • Note: This tone, and the Disable Conference Join and Disable Executive Busy Override tones in the Class of Service Options form, must be disabled (set to zero) for MLPP installations.

Select the default Desktop Tool device type for Hot Desk users. By default, the Desktop Tool device type is set to 5020 IP which supports a prime DN and up to 13 programmable keys.

However, the system assigns Hot Desk users with a prime DN and 47 programmable buttons in the Multiline Set Keys form. To ensure that all of these buttons are available to the Hot Desk user in the Desktop Tool, select a device type that supports 47 programmable buttons.

The site preference does not restrict the user. Hot Desk users can always program up to 47 buttons, and they can change their device type through the Desktop Tool.

5020IP

Email Server

Enter the IP address of the default Email server. This information is required for the Networked Voice Mail feature and when Emailing system diagnostics and alarm information.

Layer 2 Switch - Spanning Tree Enabled

  • Note: This option is only available on the LX, and existing 700-user Controllers (including the 250-user variant) as well as the AX, CXi, CXI II, and MXe/MXe Server.

  • Note: This option is not applicable to MCD for Industry Standard Servers (ISS).

CAUTION: Enabling Spanning Tree Protocol causes the Layer 2 switch to drop all IP trunks. To minimize interruptions in service, enable STP at low traffic or off-hour times only. Mitel recommends that you check with your Information Technology department before enabling STP.

Select "Yes" to enable Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) Protocol on the controller's built-in Layer 2 switch. (Only enable this setting when the controller is on an STP-enabled network.)

When enabled, the controllers use the STP configuration values specified as defaults in the IEEE 802.1D specification. For a list of these values, see Spanning Tree.

STP prevents the controller from becoming a bridge node on the network and allows it to detect invalid ports faster (within 30 seconds instead of 2 minutes).

  • Note: Spanning Tree can also be enabled/disabled on the Spanning Tree form.

No

Sender's Email Address

Enter the return Email address for the system. This information is required when Emailing systems diagnostics and alarm information information.

Remote Help Server

If the online help files for the System Administration Tool are installed on a remote server, enter the URL to the location of the help files using the following syntax:

http://<IP Address of Remote Server>/help/

For example:
http://10.117.7.39/help/
where 10.117.1.39 is the IP Address of the remote help server.

If the URL is not correct, the help window will display a "404 Page Not Found" error.

Blank

Send Travelling Class Marks

Select "Yes" to send a caller's COS, COR and Interconnect Restriction information to other 3300 ICPs in the cluster on network. For more, see Travelling Class Marks.

No

Do Not Override DND for Public Network DID/DDI Callers

Select "No" if you want incoming DID/DDI calls over the following trunk types to override DND and ring the called extension if idle:

  • ISDN PRI and BRI trunks;

  • T1D4 or E1 CAS trunks programmed as dial-in;

  • DID3 trunks;

  • LOOPDID and DID2 trunks programmed as DID type trunks.

If the overridden extension is busy, the caller hears busy tone. Any busy state call forwarding or system rerouting in effect for the overridden extension is followed.

When the option is set to "Yes," no override occurs. The caller hears busy tone, unless they are diverted by busy state forwarding/rerouting as describe above.

The default value of this option is "No" for compatibility with behaviour in earlier releases.

  • Notes

  • DASS2 trunks always override DND regardless of this option in a non-network installation and if the condition in the last note is met in a network installation.

  • DND Override will not occur across a network using DPNSS signaling provided that the system hosting the DND extension is running Release 7.1 UR2 or later and the option has been set to "Yes."

  • Systems hosting extensions or external trunks that require that DND not be overridden must have Release 7.1 UR2 or later.

No

BLF - CFA Indication Based on Set Enabled

Select "Yes" to flash BLF indicators when Call Forward Always is active on the monitored DN.

If the BLF indicator is associated with a Secretarial Transfer key, all forms of forwarding will be overridden at the monitored DN. This applies both to direct calls and secretarial transfers to the monitored DN. No override is attempted if a non-secretarial DSS/BLF key is pressed under the same circumstances.

  • Notes:

  • This option applies to monitored DNs that appear on one set only.

  • CFA monitoring and secretarial override are supported across cluster elements—that is, the option works when the monitoring and monitored devices are on different cluster elements provided that this option and the DPNSS/QSIG Diversion Enabled option are enabled on each element .

  • Secretarial override is not supported by the BLF feature on the 5550 IP Console.

See Direct Station Select for more information on the use of this option.

No

External Hot Desk - Single Digit Mid Call Features

Select "No" if you want External Hot Desk users to invoke mid-call features by dialing feature access codes. The alternative (Yes) is to use the original fixed single-digit codes.

Yes
